Congratulations to CHEN Yijia and GAO Xin on receiving Sihe Feng Chinese Cultural Studies Awards (2024/25)
We are delighted to announce the result of the second Sihe Feng Chinese Cultural Studies Awards. Congratulations to the awardees CHEN Yijia and GAO Xin. The Awards aim to recognise students with outstanding academic performance and participation as well as contribution to the MA in Chinese programme. CHEN Yijia, GAN Wenjun, GAO Xin, LI Zhujun, LUI Hoi Shan and LYU Kaiyuan were on the shortlist for the Awards, and they have performed well in every aspect.

City Literary Awards 2024 - Awards Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 14 December 2024. CityUHK Distinguished Lecture by Prof. Hans van de Ven successfully held on 28 August 2024
The Department of Chinese and History was privileged to host Prof. Hans van de Ven from Cambridge University for a CityU Distinguished Lecture on August 28, 2024. Entitled “The Great Occlusion: The End of Empire and the Emergence of a New Asia, 1945-1950", the insightful one-hour lecture received enthusiastic responses from the audience and was ended with a lively Q&A session.
