Alumni and Career

The mission of Alumni and Career Services is to solicitously help our students find career paths they can be passionate about, and actively work to build a lively community for our alumni. Using a variety of tools from career seminars to sharing talks, Alumni and Career Services help our graduates work out their job search plan, and keep in touch with other alumni.

Our graduates from BA in Chinese (BACHIN) and MA in Chinese (MACH) programmes go on to work in a variety of jobs. Organisations and companies where they are employed mainly include: Education Institutions (from Primary School to Tertiary Institutes), Media and Communication Organisations, Publishers, and other Companies. Some BACH graduates continue their study by pursuing a master degree or doctoral degree at renowned universities, such as CUHK, HKU, Peking University.

The BA in Culture and Heritage Management (BACUHM) programme equips students with knowledge and transferrable skills, enabling students to follow a cultural-related career. Destinations of recent graduates from the programme after graduation include: auction houses, art administration, museums, researchers, art consultant companies, NGOs, cultural institutions, and cultural tourism etc. Students have pursued master’s degrees in different disciplines, such as art history, art administration, history, anthropology and China studies, at various universities including SOAS University of London, Goldsmiths University of London, Chinese University of Hong Kong.
