Professor Tsui Lik-hang has been awarded Hong Kong’s 2023 University Grants Committee (UGC) Teaching Award (Early Career Faculty Members) for integrating Chinese history learning with digital humanities tools.

On September 13, Professor Uwe Fleckner (University of Hamburg/China Academy of Art, Hangzhou) delivered a public lecture at the Department of Chinese and History on Wang Shu's Ningbo Museum. Departing from the unique lens of "spolia," a key concept deeply rooted in European culture and visuality since antiquity, Professor Fleckner elaborated on how Wang Shu used recycled building materials to construct a public museum, which is, per se, a “lieu de mémoire” in the strict sense of Pierre Nora.

The CAH Departmental Orientation 2023 was successfully held on 30 August 2023 to welcome our new undergraduate and postgraduate students. It offered chances to our new students to familiarize themselves with the campus environment and to understand the curriculum of our programme. Our teachers and student officers also showed their support by introducing and sharing the programme information and learning style at CAH during the sharing sessions.
