Introduction
Floor Oosting is Editorial Director, Humanities Books, based in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. She will discuss the research and academic publishing landscape in Hong Kong, Open Access in an Asian context, and the Humanities books programme more broadly within Springer Nature. With 25 years’ experience in publishing, Floor currently oversees a team of editors spanning India, the USA, Europe, and Singapore.

Alex Westcott Campbell serves as the senior editor for Humanities and Social Sciences (Southeast and East Asia) at Springer Singapore, overseeing the editing and publication of numerous books and book chapters. In her upcoming presentation, she will impart her valuable insights and advice on the publishing process at Springer. This talk is designed to benefit both faculty members and PhD students, offering crucial guidance on the key elements to consider when submitting English book proposals in the future. Moreover, those interested in publishing English academic articles will find her tips to be particularly valuable.
