2014 Orientation Day
The Orientation Day is another big success after the Mentor Mentee Meeting. Mentees have the second chance to talk with the mentors and have the first opportunity to communicate with the professors. It helps to bridge the professors and students which are not familiar with each other. The event helps mentee as well as the mentor to understand more about their professors and it create a family like atmosphere within the department.
It first had a welcoming speech by the head of the department. It also introduced the program leaders, teachers and admin duties. Then, it divided into Chinese program and Culture and Heritage Management program. Program leaders introduce the program structure, courses, regulations and other activities. They separately share and communicate with their professors and fellow senior students. It helps the freshmen and junior student to know more about their majors and the background of the professors.
